I can't believe it, Liza and Jordan's BIG day is in THREE months. The planning and all the final details are coming together nicely. Ash and I met with this chic couple in Manyunk for a linen selection and catering meeting at the talented Peachtree and Ward. I was so happy to see that Jordan, unlike some groomies, are N.I.D (not into details). I can't wait for this wedding to be here. This is Liza's third of many posts. I hope you enjoy this as much I do!
Vendor Meeting Time...3-Months To Go!
It's exciting to check items off my wedding to-do list. I know I am not alone with this statement. So when I have a super productive meeting with my rock star planner and caterer, I walk out feeling like I can run for President. And then my brain starts churning some more and after scarfing down chips and salsa with my future hubby, we start to think of more questions and analyze our current choices. It's like making a drastic hair style change during "that time of the month" - better to take an extra moment to reflect with a clear head and to remember who you are and what your wedding day should "say" to your guests about you as a couple.
Stay True to Yourselves...
Seriously. It's much easier said than done because when you have multiple minds chiming in on their views of what they think looks best, will give the best vibe, etc., you want to make sure that while those ideas are amazing, they are also a reflection of you as a couple. We want our guests to walk into our space and think/feel "Liza & Jordan." It should be obvious to your guests that this is a direct reflection of you...your style, your love, your personalities. By profession, I take branding seriously. And just as with corporate branding standards, I hold to that knowledge with our wedding because it still holds true. Branding is a feeling you get, an acknowledgment - a recognition in your brain that says..."Yes, I get it!" That's what we ALL want on our wedding day. All the hard work, the lists, the ideas, the meetings, the trust you place in your vendors to bring your vision to life....it all comes down to you as a couple and the brand you want to showcase.
We have been blessed with vendors who not only understand our vision, but also bring elements of style to enhance our brand while maintaining the "us" factor. Even when we express a view that isn't in-line with what we were presented with, our view, our brand, is honored and understood because great vendors know how to work WITH you, not against you.
Be the rock stars you are, show your guests the love that makes you YOU and I promise, you will be one happy couple dancing the night away to the music that you love in celebration of being husband and wife.
'Till next time....!
xoxo
